Final Fantasy 7 Revelation's Official Physical Release Comes With a Huge Asterisk

Square Enix reveals details on Final Fantasy 7 Revelation physical release, Nintendo Switch 2 version, and pricey Collector's Edition.

The short version

• With the announcement that the game will be released on April 8, 2027 , we know now that a physical edition is happening.
• Square Enix, however, has made some very important compromises.
• Similarly, the physical Switch 2 edition of Revelation will include a Game-Key card.

What happened

The most expensive version, however, is the $349.99 physical Collector's Edition. The Square Enix store exclusive includes everything from the Deluxe Edition as well as the Story Expansion Pass and a handful of exclusive in-game items.

Why it matters

But the main event is the premium statue of Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth standing back-to-back.
