Microsoft has revealed the first batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, though subscribers only have a week left to try the award-winning Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 before it waves goodbye.
The short version
- October's undisputed headliner is one of last year's hottest games, EA's Battlefield 6 .
- The large-scale shooter broke series records when it dropped, selling over 7m copies in three days and instantly topping Steam's best-seller charts .
- Post-launch updates and a surprisingly-involved Top Gun collab have kept the game chugging into this year too, despite layoffs at Battlefield Studios back in March.
What happened
The other highlights include seven all-new games launching into Game Pass straight away. But Game Pass giveth and Game Pass taketh away.
Why it matters
This month's group of leavers include the widely-acclaimed and hugely-celebrated RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which debuted on Game Pass early last year.
