What happened
Even the cheapest console, the 512GB Xbox Series S, is up from £300 to £430 (43 percent), and its 1TB sibling up from £350 to £520 (48.5 percent). "Final nail in the coffin," said one Resetera commenter.
Why it matters
It was earlier this month Microsoft announced 3,200 layoffs across its Xbox gaming division , with 1,600 of those job cuts being implemented immediately.
